Overview

This tutorial will introduce you to the basics of Panopto. It covers topics such as where to find Panopto, how to download and install the application, and different ways to record videos.

How can I access Panopto?

Access Panopto from SPU's website

  • Navigate to SPU's website : spu.edu

  • Click mySPU in the top right corner.

  • Click the tab of Faculty & Staff from SPU Online Services.

  • You can find Panopto from the Academic category.

Access Panopto from the desktop application

  • From the Panopto website, click "+Create" button.

  • Click Panopto for Mac or Panopto for Windows to download the application for your system.

  • Click "Download Panopto" button to download the application and install it.

How can I record in Panopto?

Record Panopto videos in browser

  • From the Panopto website, click "+Create" button.
  • Click on Panopto Capture.

  • If your browser prompts you for access permission to the cameras and microphones, please click “Allow.

  • Change settings for your recording based on your needs.

  • You can edit your recording, change the location and manage access permission before posted it.
