Recover a Deleted File in SharePoint

If files within a sharepoint page appear to be missing, they have often been deleted. This how-to details how to recover said files from their deleted state.

How to Recover Deleted Files in Sharepoint

  1. First, login to sharepoint by pointing your browser to https://sharepoint.spu.edu, and navigating to the page within sharepoint where the document was last seen.
  2. At the bottom of the left hand panel within the sharepoint page will be the recycle bin. Click on the recycle bin to open it. 

      

     3. Next, select the content you wish to restore by checking the boxes on the left hand side, and subsequently clicking Restore Selection.

     4. If there is additional content that you cannot recover through this method, submit a work request with specific information about what needs to be restored.
