Getting Started with Microsoft Forms

Microsoft Forms is a user-friendly tool that allows you to create surveys, quizzes, polls, and feedback forms in just a few simple steps. Whether you're new to the platform or looking for a quick refresher, this guide will walk you through the basics of accessing, navigating, and creating your first form.
Accessing Microsoft Forms
Microsoft Forms is available as part of the Microsoft 365 suite. Here’s how to access it:
Web Browser: Go to forms.office.com and sign in with your SPU account.
Mobile Device: Use the Microsoft Forms mobile app or access it through a mobile browser.
Navigating the Interface
Once you’re signed in, you’ll see the Microsoft Forms dashboard. Here’s a quick overview of the interface:
Home Screen: Displays your recent forms, quizzes, and polls, as well as templates to help you get started.
New Form/Quiz Button: Click this to create a new form or quiz from scratch.
Templates: Browse pre-designed templates for surveys, quizzes, and polls.
My Forms: View and manage all the forms, quizzes, and polls you’ve created.
Shared with Me: Access forms shared with you by others for collaboration.
Creating Your First Form
Follow these steps to create your first form:
Click New Form or New Quiz on the home screen.
Give your form a title and description.
Add questions:
Click Add New to insert questions.
Choose from question types like multiple choice, text, rating, date, and more.
Customize questions with images, videos, or branching logic (conditional questions).
Customize the design:
Use the Style button to change colors, add a background image, or apply a custom theme.
Preview your form:
Click Preview to see how your form will look to respondents.
Save your form:
Your form is automatically saved as you work.
