Printing options on Intune Enrolled Devices
Overview
With the upcoming deprecation of Windows 10, the SPU IT Department is actively transitioning all SPU-managed devices to Windows 11.
For a general Windows 11 tutorial, please refer to our Windows 11 - How to Get Started wiki page.
During this transition, our newly deployed Windows 11 devices are enrolled in our updated computer management system. However, we have identified compatibility issues between this system and PaperCut, which may limit access to advanced printing features, such as using the bypass tray or selecting finishing options like stapling.
Our office is actively working on a solution to restore these advanced printing options for Windows 11 devices.
In the meantime, we recommend the following workaround:
Remote Access
You can print documents with full finishing options by remotely accessing a Windows 10 server. These servers maintain full compatibility with PaperCut.
Follow the steps below:
Click the provided link to access Remote Computer Access.
Locate an available server and select Connect.
Follow the on-screen instructions. You may need to approve your login using MFA on your phone.
Once logged in, access OneDrive and sign in.
Locate your document and proceed to print with the desired advanced printing options.
We understand this workaround may not be the most convenient, but it ensures you have access to essential printing features until a permanent fix is in place. Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact IT Support:
