VR (Virtual Reality) with Steam
Overview
Virtual Reality gets people more engaged, learn more effectively, and retain their knowledge for longer. Gives a simultaneous hands-on experience in a true-to-life environment, efficiently and safely.
How To
1. Turn it On
HTC VIVE PRO VR:
From your computer, open the SteamVR app.
Make sure your base stations are powered. (The base stations beam signals to the headset and controllers. Do not cover the front panel with any material.)
Make sure that your headset is connected to the computer via the link box. For details, see Connecting the headset to your computer.
Turn the controllers on.
Check that VIVE hardware is tracked. The status icons on the SteamVR app should be blue and the status lights on the hardware should all be green.
Put the headset on. For details, see Putting on the VIVE Pro HMD.
Grab your controllers.

Link Box: Use the link box to connect the headset to your computer.
Headset
Connecting the headset to your computer
Connect the USB 3.0 cable, DisplayPort™ cable, and power adapter cable on their corresponding slots on the link box.
Plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
Insert the opposite end of the USB 3.0 cable on your computer's USB port.
Insert the DisplayPort cable end to the DisplayPort port on your computer's graphics card where the monitor is also connected. Do not connect the DisplayPort cable to ports on the motherboard.
Insert the headset cable connector (side with triangle mark up) to the port on the link box with the corresponding triangle mark.
Press the Power button to turn the link box on.
To secure the link box in a permanent position, peel the covers from the mounting pad and firmly press one side of the adhesive surface on the bottom part of the link box, and then attach the link box on the area where you want it installed.
Controller
Use the controllers to interact with objects in the VR world.
The controllers have sensors that are tracked by the base stations.
