AV Event Support

Overview

While the Upper Gwinn and DH 150 event spaces on campus are designed to be self-service, 15-minute complimentary setup support may be available during our office hours and should be coordinated and scheduled at least 1 week prior. 

IT cannot provide staffing for AV Events held on campus. IT staff can only provide dispatch support* for issues during our office hours.

*AV Dispatch support is not available in the following locations:

  • The main gym of Royal Brougham Pavilion

  • First Free Methodist Church

  • First Free Methodist Church Fine Center

For events gym space at Royal Brougham Pavilion, we recommend you contact the Athletics office for more information. The church maintains its own equipment and you should work with the staff at First Free Methodist Church or FFMC Fine Center.

IT Support is not available for equipment rented from ASSP or third party equipment brought to campus for an event. Contact ASSP at assp-media@spu.edu for support or work with your contracted vendor.

Request Complimentary 15-Minute AV Setup Support Information

Setup assistance for an event can be requested through IT Support during our office hours. If available, a technician will provide assistance in setting up AV elements for an event prior to the start of that event. A request for complimentary setup support must be placed at least 1 week prior to the event.

Request Complimentary AV Setup

  1. Log into   spu.edu/cishelpdesk

  2. Change the Request Type to Classrooms & Events > Complimentary 15-Minute AV Setup

  3. Fill out event details:

    1. Location

    2. Event Date & Time

    3. Duration of the event

Support Policies

We have established the following policies regarding AV Event Support.

  • Complimentary 15-Minute AV Setup Support is subject to IT Support office hours and staff availability.

  • IT is not able to support technology from outside sources.
