Regular Academic Year Parts of Term
During the regular academic year (Autumn through Spring), courses are offered under a variety of “parts of term” which are defined by specific date ranges and impact registration add and drop deadlines. Consult the Academic Calendar for specific registration deadlines.
Note: the Full Term, Extended Deadline, and Global Seminars parts of term are also used during Summer quarter, but those courses run 8 weeks. See all Summer parts of term here.
Part of Term | Description |
Full Term | Courses that run the full 10 weeks of the academic quarter (Autumn, Winter, Spring) |
Extended Deadline | Courses that run the full 10 weeks of the academic quarter (Autumn, Winter, Spring) and allow registration in Banner up through the 10th day of the term |
Global Seminars | Study Abroad courses run by SPU faculty |
September Session | Courses that generally start in early September and run for 3 weeks |
September Session + Full Term | Courses that generally start in early September and run through the end of Autumn quarter |
