Cannot Play Voicemail Messages in Outlook

After Unified Messaging for Voicemail has been setup, sometimes the CallXpress client (no longer used) has to caused Outlook to freeze and sometimes crash or give an error message stating an Object Cannot be found.  To fix this issue, follow the steps below to remove any remaining traces of the CallXpress client.

Steps

  1. File->Options -> Add-ins
  2. Select COM Add-ins and click Go... at the bottom. 
  3. Remove all forms, such as Fax Form, etc...
  4. Open Programs and Features.
  5. Remove all forms and traces of CallXpress.
  6. Restart Outlook.

You should now be able to listen to voicemail messages via VLC Player on your computer.
