Accessing Copilot

Overview

There are a variety of ways to access Microsoft Copilot depending on web browser, application, and subscription. 

1. Microsoft Edge with Copilot in the sidebar:

   • Requirements:

     • Microsoft Edge web browser

   • Access:

     1. Open Microsoft Edge.

        • Ensure that you are signed into Microsoft Edge with your personal Microsoft account or SPU account.

     2. Click the Copilot icon in the upper right corner of the browser

        • Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+.

     3. Use Copilot's features within the sidebar.

2. Navigating to the Copilot website:

   • Requirements:

     • Any web browser

   • Access:

     1. Open a web browser of your choice.

     2. Copy and paste this URL into the address bar:

        • Copilot.Microsoft.com

3. Copilot in Microsoft 365 apps (Copilot Pro):

   • Requirements:

     • Copilot Pro subscription

   • Access:

     1. Open a Microsoft 365 app like Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, or Outlook.

     2. Look for the Copilot icon or option within the app's toolbar or menu.

     3. Activate Copilot to use its suggestions and features.
