Doctor of Nursing Practice Post-APRN Synthesis Practicum Guide

Purpose

The DNP Synthesis Practicum is a mix of educational experiences to gain competency and support practice in a new role, required for all DNP students expanding on their APN specialty certification through DNP education.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the learner will be able to:

1.  Demonstrate synthesis of the DNP Essentials as achieved through program coursework, clinical experiences, and learning activities. 

2.  Demonstrate effective, comprehensive, culturally appropriate healthcare which includes translating best evidence into practice, considering population focus, and collaborating with other disciplines through case exemplars. 

3.  Demonstrate leadership in health care system change, personal practice improvement, evaluation, and health policy.

4.  Articulate changes in personal practice and role that have occurred with DNP program preparation.
