Clearing Cache and Cookies




Sometimes your browser will store information such as log in information or form data. Clearing the remnants of this data from your browser can be helpful if your browser is hanging onto data you don't want it to.

 Chrome:

  1. Type chrome://history in the URL bar. It will look like this:
     
  2. In the upper left-hand corner, click 'Clear Browsing Data'.
  3. In the menu that appears, under the 'Basic', set 'Time Range' to 'All time' from the drop down menu.
  4. Check "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data".
  5. You can leave "Browsing history" unchecked if you want to preserve that.
  6. Click 'Clear Data'.

 Mozilla Firefox:

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, click the menu button. It looks like this: 

  2. Go down to 

  3. Click 'Privacy & Security' on the left-hand side

  4. Click 'Clear Data...' under 'Cookies and Site Data' 

  5. Please check both options and then click 'Clear'

 Safari:

  1. In the 'Safari' menu, select 'Preferences'
  2. Click the 'Privacy' tab.
  3. Click 'Manage Website Date'
  4. Select 'Remove All'

 Microsoft Edge:

  1. In the upper right-hand corner, select the 'hud' button, which looks like this: 
  2. Just below that, click the 'History' icon, which looks like this: 
  3. Click 'Clear All History'
  4. Select 'Cookies and saved website data' and 'Cached data and files'
  5. Click 'Clear'.
