Welcome to the Office of Payroll, where our most important responsibility is the processing and payment of Seattle Pacific University employee paychecks in a timely and appropriate manner.

Here in Payroll there are a multitude of processes we manage; a few of which are listed below, and others can be found in our table of contents shown on the right. Payroll Processes

  • Maintains compliance with local and federal regulations pertaining to payroll.

    • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) - Comply with minimum wage and overtime rates to calculate accurately.

  • Ensures compliance with SPU’s benefit policies maintained by the Office of Human Resources.

  • Co-trains supervisors yearly with OSE on all aspects of student employment/payroll.

    • Creating EPAFS, assigning a proxy, approving timesheets, rules for international student employees…

  • Assist supervisors in processing and approving timesheets.

  • Review, approve, and process adjunct contracts.

  • Data entry, review, and process student payroll, semi-monthly payroll, and monthly payroll.
