SPU-Wireless Internet Access (Campus Members)

SPU-Wireless is available throughout campus for current faculty, students, and staff, as well as alumni. You will need valid SPU credentials (username and password) to connect your device(s) to SPU-Wireless.

How to Connect to SPU-Wireless

These instructions are for personal computers, iPhones, iPod Touches and other devices with a web browser.

  1. Connect your device (laptop, smartphones, iPad, etc...) to SPU-Wireless. The network key (password) is case sensitive and is SPU-Wireless (the same as the network name).

  2. Open a web browser and log in with your SPU Username and Password.

Additional Information:

How fast will my connection be?
Each Wireless device connected to the network is generally allotted, if possible, 20 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up.

Can I use my own wireless router?
No!  Personally-owned wireless access points cause interference with SPU's wireless network and are therefore prohibited from connection to the campus network. Besides, they won't increase your speed and may expose your device to malware and attacks.

How often is the network upgraded?
CIS continually integrates new wireless technology to take advantage of industry innovations and increase campus wireless coverage and performance.

SPU-Managed Computers (Wireless)

SPU-Managed computers are configured to automatically connect to a hidden network. This network provides heightened security and performance over SPU-Wireless. Contact the HelpDesk for more information.
