Department file shares (Matthew)
Department Shares (formerly known as Matthew) are a collection of department folders on a file server managed by CIS, that allows departments or other cross-department groups to store and share files and folders with various users. This resource requires users to have an SPU Username and Password, and allows departments to grant both read-only access and write access to folders.
Accessing a department share may be done from a SPU-managed computer, by going to \\spu.local\depts\deptname\foldername. If you cannot access a folder you believe you need permissions to, contact the specific department, as these permissions have been delegated to a specific individual within the area.
If you would like to access Department Shares when off-campus or from a personal computer, you must use Citrix Remote Access or VPN.
