Documents you create on the job that need to be shared with others in your office are classified as departmental documents. Make sure you store them appropriately so others can get to them!
SharePoint
SharePoint is the primary storage solution for SPU departments and acts both as a file storage server as well as a workflow and collaboration solution. Talk with your department SharePoint and group managers about SharePoint and whether your job requires its use.

SMB File Share
There are a limited number of cases where SharePoint isn't a viable solution for department files (eg. SFTP-type traffic from an external source like the Department of Education, Tableau data sources). For these cases, we utilize a file share called 'SMB'.
