Adobe Creative Cloud is a suite of software applications used for graphic design, video editing, web development, photography, and other related tools.
Software Details
Our license with Adobe allows us to install the following components of Creative Cloud:

Eligibility
Adobe's licensing model restricts our flexibility to preemptively install Creative Cloud on all SPU devices. Additionally, there are two different types of installations:
- Named User - used for Faculty/Staff workstations, which are primary single-user devices
- Shared Device - used for labs and classrooms, which are shared among many users
Creative Cloud for Fac/Staff
Faculty and Staff who wish to use Creative Cloud on their SPU-managed device need to complete the steps below.
- Uninstall any existing Creative Cloud 2018 or prior versions
Request access to use Creative Cloud by submitting a ticket to the CIS Help Desk.
After CIS processes the request it will take 30-60 minutes before your account is provisioned by Adobe.

- After uninstall all prior versions of Creative Cloud and your account has been provisioned by Adobe, go to the Adobe Help Site to download the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
- Click on: How to Download Creative Cloud desktop app using direct download links
- Click on: Creative Cloud desktop app (for macOS)
- Go to your downloads folder to find the Creative Cloud Desktop package. Double click to launch the installer and follow the installation steps.
- After uninstall all prior versions of Creative Cloud and your account has been provisioned by Adobe, go to the Adobe Help Site to download the Creative Cloud Desktop app.
- Mac
Note - CIS is in the process of building a Mac Software Center and anticipates launching it by January 2020. At that point, all CIS approved Mac software will be available for download in Mac Software Center.

- Package name: "Creative Cloud Fac/Staff"
- This package will not be available to you until CIS has approved and processed your request for access.
- The package will attempt to uninstall the previous version of Creative Cloud before installing the new one, but sometimes this fails. Try uninstalling the previous versions of Creative Cloud and restarting your computer. If it still fails to install, CIS is available to assist further.

- Open Creative Cloud and follow instructions to sign in.
- You will now be signed in to the Creative Cloud Desktop App, but with no applications installed.
- To install an application from the CC Desktop App, select "Apps" and click "Install" next the application you want to install from the listing presented below.
Creative Cloud for Shared Devices
Any user may use Creative Cloud on a classroom/lab device that has it installed, though you will be required to sign in (instructions here).
Creative Cloud is pre-installed on computers in the following locations:
- Ames Library (lower level computer lab)
- Art Center (all classrooms/labs)
- Marston/Watson Hall 3
- McKenna Hall 113
- Nickerson Studios 103 and 105
- Otto Miller Hall 253
CIS can install Creative Cloud on additional classroom podium computers. Faculty members who need this for instructional purposes should submit a request to the CIS Help Desk.
Creative Cloud through AppStream
Students who have personally purchased a license for Creative Cloud (https://www.adobe.com/creativecloud/plans.html?plan=edu), can install Creative Cloud on their personal computer. Alternatively, Students may use a limited set of Creative Cloud applications we have configured for availability through AppStream. Please use the link below to access this offering:

Reminder: use of these products through AppStream requires a separately purchased or SPU-provisioned license for Adobe products.
