CallXpress has been known to cause Outlook to freeze and sometimes crash. Sometimes, computers will either have two different versions of AVST's CallXpress Outlook plugin, or a corrupted installation of a single version of the add-in. When two versions of CallXpress are present, two entries will show in Programs and Features: "AT_OutlookAddin" and "AVST CallXpress add-in for Microsoft Outlook".

  1. File->Options, Choose "Add-ins" on the left
  2. Choose COM Add-ins and click "Go..." at the bottom
  3. Remove all traces of anything CallXpress - if there are problems, run Outlook.exe as administrator and try again
  4. Open Programs and Features
  5. Remove all traces of anything CallXpress from Programs and Features list
  6. Restart Outlook - it should respond much faster and work normally
