Now that you have successfully changed your SPU account password, it is important to consider all of the apps, services, and devices that will need to be updated with your new password. With that in mind, we recommend you take the following steps:

Please restart all of your devices that connect to SPU apps or services. These can include:

  • Laptop
  • Desktop
  • Work from home computer
  • Mobile Phone
  • Tablet
  • Any shared workstations

SPU Laptops should be on campus before doing this process and restarting.

For help connecting your laptop to the SPU network from home, please see the following pages: /wiki/spaces/SWDOC/pages/36589551 or /wiki/spaces/appteam/pages/39952677

Next, after your device restarts, login with your new password. As you launch common work applications, you will be asked to log in with your new password. We recommend doing this soon after your password change so these applications can continue to function as expected. Examples of these apps are :

  • Office 365 (Webmail)
  • Outlook
  • OneDrive
  • OneNote
  • Skype
  • Teams
  • Others may also apply...

Please note, it may take up to 30 minutes for some apps or services to become fully available and ready for use.

In rare situations Outlook may ask for your password multiple times when attempting to login. If this happens, please see this page or call  (206-281-2982) or email (help@spu.edu) the HelpDesk.

Apps and Services on your iPhone, Android, or tablet:

If you use the Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, OneNote, or Skype apps on your mobile device, you will need to update these apps with your new password. This can be done by simply launching each app and entering your new password when prompted.
