Step-by-step guide

  1. Sitecore Login

    1. Sitecore Page Editor works best in Firefox or Chrome.
    2. Get to the Sitecore login page
      http://sitecore-master.spu.edu/sitecore
    3. Click the "Options" link and then click the “Page Editor” button.
    4. Enter "ad\" (the backslash below the "Backspace" key) then your normal Windows username.

    e.g.

    User Name: ad\username
    Password: Windows Password

  2. Navigate to the Catalog

    1. Use the following URL to access the catalog http://sitecore-master.spu.edu/catalog/undergraduate/20156
    2. Click on the "Home" tab in the upper left hand corner to the right of the "Save Disk" icon to view the Page Editor Ribbon.
    3. Once there click "Preview" which will allow you to use the catalog's left nav.
    4. Then use the left nav, or links with the pages, to get to the page you wish to change.

  3. Make a Change

    1. Click the "Edit" button, in the Ribbon, in the upper left-hand corner of the browser.
    2. Click on the content section where you need to make the change, and make the edit.
    3. Save the changes and preview them in a different browser or in an "Incognito Window"

    1. For more advanced edits use the "Rich Text Editor" by clicking on the paper icon in the upper left of the options tool bar (highlighted below in light orange).
    2. Make modification or add a link with the "Hyperlink Manager" or the "Insert Sitecore Link" menu options located near the middle of the top row of options.
    3. Once your modifications are complete, click "Accept" in the lower right of the popup window, then click the "Save" icon.
    4. Next, click the "Publish" (which will automatically check it in).

    5. Finally, verify modifications (in separate browser window on live site).
