SPU has implemented a new service to execute employment and wage verification requests of former and current employees. These requests are directed to i2Verify, an income and employment verification company which provides immediate access to employment and wage data.

i2Verify Advantages

i2Verify automates the verification process by instantly and securely delivering employment information that requestors such as banks or government agencies rely on to make credit granting or benefit entitlement decisions (mortgages, loans, etc.). The Office of Computer and Information Systems (CIS) has reviewed the data elements and business processes to ensure that i2Verfiy will safeguard sensitive data.  i2Verify is PCI compliant and has the necessary measures in place to safely store and protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Clients of i2Verify include lenders, property managers, pre-employment screeners, and social service agencies. Utilizing i2Verify for employment and wage verification will benefit Seattle Pacific University employees and departments in multiple ways:

  • By eliminating the need for internal verifications, i2Verify reduces the turnaround time associated with employment or wage verification.  A properly credentialed verifier, such as a bank or mortgage company, can now securely access employment verification data at any time at www.i2Verify.com.
  • Through the i2Verify employee portal, employees are allowed complete visibility into the verification process. Employees can block access to their data, generate their own reports, or choose to be notified when someone views their data.
  •  i2Verify’s employment verification process is secure.  Not only doesi2Verify validate the identity of all users of its system prior to allowing access to sensitive employee data, but a complete audit trail of every verification is created and then is made available to employees.
  •  Live support is available during normal business hours by calling 1-888-458-6319.

Registering for i2Verify

1. Visit the i2Verify website at www.i2Verify.com. Click log in, then Create an account by clicking here.

2. You will need to enter your email address and then reenter it again for validation purposes.  After that, answer the question "Which of the following best describes the purpose of the account you're creating." (If you are a current or former Seattle Pacific University employee, your answer should be "I am a current or former employee of a company that uses your system.")

3. You will then receive an email to verify that you wish to create an i2Verify account.  Click on the link to create your account.

4. Once you click on the verification link, you will be asked to provide several items of information to create your account. These items include your phone number, a password, Social Security number and date of birth. You also have the option of checking a box for i2Verify to email you when someone requests your information.

5. You will receive a second email to activate your verification account.  Click on the link to activate your account.

6. To activate your account you will need to read and agree to a handful of statements regarding E-Sign Disclosure and Consent, the Federal Credit Reporting Act, the Summary of Rights and Terms and Conditions. If you agree with the statements, place a checkmark on the four boxes and then click the green "I Agree" icon at the bottom.

7. Congratulations!  Your account has been activated.

Using i2Verify

1. When you log into i2Verify, you will first be asked to submit your email address and password.

2. Once you successfully submit those items, you will also receive an email with a 2-factor authentication code that you need to submit within 15 minutes.

3. Once you have successfully logged in, you will have several options. These include:

  • New Employment Report:  From here you can instantly obtain an Employment Verification Report or an Employment Verification Letter from Seattle Pacific University.
  • Permission Keys:  Permission keys allow you to add an additional level of security to the employment verification process.  If you activate the option to require permission keys, all non-government verifiers will require your permission prior to being granted access to your data. This permission comes in the form of a permission key that only you can generate.
  • View Past Reports
  • Block or unblock access to your data.
