Overview

If resubmissions are not enabled for a Turnitin assignment, you must request admin approval to manually delete a student's previous submission before they can submit a new file. Please send these requests to etmhelp@spu.edu.

If resubmissions are enabled, students can overwrite their previous submissions until the assignment's due date.

Instructions for Students

  1. Click the link for the Turnitin assignment in your course that you need to resubmit to.

  2. On the right side of the screen, you will see an icon with an arrow pointing upward—this is the "Resubmit" icon (see Figure 1). Click on it to proceed with uploading your updated file.

  3. A screen appears asking to confirm resubmission. Click Confirm (see Figure 2).

If your students are unable to submit your assignment because the upload button is grayed out, you will need to edit the Due Date for the Turnitin assignment.
