Overview


Faculty, Program Coordinators and Admins may need to view individual course activity or overall course statistics for a variety of purposes. There are two options for viewing course statistics, each of which may only be accessed while a course is in a current term.


View Course Analytics

This will give you an overall preview of course activity - you can view participations, page views, number of assignments turned in on time, and other Course Analytics.

On the Home Page, select the grey button called "View Course Analytics."

  1. A page will be loaded that will show page views over a period of time, Submissions, Grades and more.
    1. By using the toggle button in the upper right-hand corner, you can change your view from charts, to tabular data.

View Individual Analytics

Instructors have the ability to view individual analytics for specific student. Below we will describe the basics. 

  1. To narrow in on a specific student, there are two ways, through the View Course Analytics menu, scroll down till you see a list of active students in the course and select an individual's name.
    1. Alternatively, you may click on People and use the Gear Icon to select Analytics from the menu to view the same data set.
  2. This menu will show you an individual's course Activity, Communications, Submissions and Grades.
    1. By using the toggle button in the upper right-hand corner, you can change your view from charts, to tabular data.

View Individual Access Report

Instructors also have permissions to  view the course access report for individual students. Below we will demonstrate the key instructions to do so. 

  1. Select People from the Course Navigation menu, then locate the student and click the gear icon across from their name. 
  2. Select User Details from the drop-down menu and a new page will load.
  3. On this page, select "Access Report" on the right-hand side of the page. 
  4. This page will give you a list of items an individual has accessed in the course as well as a date/time that access took place.
