Step-by-step guide
- Select either the VGA (black with 1/8-inch audio cable) or HDMI (black AmazonBasics) cable to connect a mobile device to NEC display.Using either the HDMI cable or cable-plus adapter, connect your personal device to the display.
- Turn on the NEC display by pushing [Power] Power on the remote control. Push [Source] to If there is no signal, push Source to cycle through input sources.
- Choose [HDMI2] to use the HDMI cable
- Choose [PC] to use the VGA cable with the 1/8-inch stereo cable.
- Push OK on the remote after you selected the applicable source By default, the cable will be connected to HDMI 2. Push OK on the remote to select source.
- When finished, please turn off LCD display by pushing [Power] Power on the remote control and return the cables to the metal basket.

Adjusting Audio and Video
MacOS (Sonoma)
Audio
- Click on the control center icon in the top right corner of the screen.
- Click Sound.
- Click on E464. The audio will now be routed through the HDMI cable to the NEC digital display. Audio controls on the Mac will no longer work; however, the NEC volume controls will work.
Video
- Click on the logo in the top left of the screen. Choose System Settings.
- In the menu on the left, choose Displays, and click on E464.
- If you want to use the NEC display as an exact mirror of your Mac’s display, locate the “Use as” dropdown menu and choose Mirror for built in display.
- If you want to use the NEC display as an extension of your own display, choose Extended display.
- If you want to use the NEC display as your main workspace, using your Mac’s display as an extension, choose Main display.
Windows (11)
Audio
- Click in the lower right corner.
- Click the Select a sound output button, select the speaker E464 to hear sound through the NEC display
Video
- Click in the lower left corner and search Settings. Open Settings.
- Select the Display menu.
- Using the dropdown menu, toggle between extended and duplicate display settings.
- When finished, please return the black HDMI cable to the metal basket coiled. Turn off the NEC digital display.
