Overview

Since Poll Everywhere will be discontinued, this instruction will guide you on how to migrate Poll Everywhere to MS Forms.

If you want to use MS Forms within Teams or embed MS Forms in Canvas, please refer to this page: Microsoft (MS) Teams and Forms: Online Polling for Teaching

Migrate Surveys/Activities from Poll Everywhere and MS Forms

  • Click "Go to activities" on the Home page.

  • Click on the activity you would like to migrate to MS Forms.
  • You can see the questions included in the activity on the left side.
  • You can view the details of each question by clicking the "edit" button.

  • At the same time, open another tab to access MS Forms.
  • Login MS Form using SPU credentials. https://forms.office.com/
  • Click "New Forms".

  • Enter a title and choose an appropriate format of the first question.

  • Go back to your Poll Everywhere and copy and paste the question and options into MS Forms.

  • Mark the question as required.
  • Click "Add a New Question" to repeat the steps above.

  • After done, click "Present" to collect responses.

  • You will see a similar display to Poll Everywhere. You can toggle the "Treemap" or "Bar" button at the bottom to change the display of the responses.

An alternative way

  • Instead of copying and pasting the questions one by one, you can copy and paste all your Poll Everywhere activity questions into a Word document and format them properly.

  • Go to MS Forms and click "Quick import".

  • Select the word document you created.
  • Choose Form.

  • Click "Start Review" to review the Form you just imported.

  • Modify the Form as needed.
