When a faculty or staff person purchases their former SPU computer or a projector to use as a personal device, the expectation is that it will no longer be used in their capacity as an SPU employee. The device is no longer supported by the University. For computers, a new operating system will be installed, institutional data is removed, and the hard drive is decrypted.
