    4. Duration of the event, and equipment
    5. Equipment needed

Support Policies

  • Support is subject to technician availability. We will do everything in our power to provide a technician, provided that one is requested with ample time prior to an eventTechnicians are not guaranteed to be available, but we will endeavor to make one available.
  • To ensure a smooth event , support experience the following guidelines must be followed when hiring a technician: 

    • If the event is longer than 4 hours , or if the event continues for the majority of one day, a technician must be hired for the full duration of the entire event.If the event duration is less than 4 hours, a minimum hiring time of 1 hour from the beginning of the event is in effect

    • Technicians must be hired for a minimum of one hour.

    • Technicians cannot must be hired for short, separate intervals throughout the duration of an event. This is both to ensure that your event goes smoothly and out of respect for the technician's time. continuous support–gaps in scheduling are not permitted.

    • The requested support should begin at least 30 minutes before the event to provide sufficient setup time to the technician.
  • Room Reservations
    • Rooms may be reserved using EMS (roomfinder.spu.edu) or via Conference Services at (206) 281-2187.

  • Prior to the Event
    • If there are videos, and especially those embedded in Powerpoint, CIS needs to have these ahead of time to test on our system.
    • A technician must be hired beginning at least 30 minutes prior to the start of an event to ensure that there is enough setup time for the technician. More time may be required for more complex eventsVideo and rich media content must be provided to CIS in advance of the event.  Compatibility cannot be guaranteed without advanced access being provided to CIS.
    • Provide a list of electronics that need to be connected to CIS systems to ensure appropriate adapters and cables are prepared in advance.
