Overview

...

CIS maintains technology-enriched classrooms with a data projector, a podium desktop computer, a combo DVD/VCR player, and in many cases, a document camera. CIS also provides limited support and services for audio-visual spaces throughout campus; more information can be found on the AV Space Support Guidelineshere: Non-Classroom AV Technology.

Information about our classrooms may be found online by going to SPU Room Finder and clicking on Browse → Location.  Here users may browse through a list of buildings and rooms, view the building location, classroom image, seating chart, and available features and equipment in the room.

All scheduling of rooms is now done via SPU Room Finder as well, if you would like to reserve a room, complete a request through our room scheduling system.

All computer use of the campus network and the equipment located in the student computer labs must conform to our Computer Acceptable Use policy.  See Student Computer Labs for a list of buildings that have accessible computer labs.

General guidelines regarding CIS Support for Computer Labs provides the expectations between CIS and Lab Managers/staff regarding hardware and software support.
Many classrooms are covered by the SPU-Wireless network as well as wired Ethernet jacks for access by personal laptop computers.

Info

Computers in classrooms and academic labs require that users log in with a valid SPU Username and password. Use of these computers is governed by the Computer Acceptable Use

Non-CIS Managed Labs

While CIS is responsible for most computer labs on campus, there are several that are managed by other departments. For support with any of the following computer labs, please contact the individual listed below the lab name.
