Doctoral students take two comprehensive exams covering foundations and research coursework. Exams are held once a month on a set, published date (see below). Students can take either exam on any date. Comp  Comprehensive exams are held once a month, on set Fridays.

Exams will be held from 8:45am-12:45pm, typically in Peterson Hall. Some exams are held elsewhere, and students will be informed of the room assignment. If you would like to take a comprehensive exam on one of these scheduled dates, please use the sign up link below, or email Megan Hamshar directly. As a reminder, students are responsible to bring their own laptops and any accessories for the exam. Scratch paper is provided.

June 21, 2019online via Zoom for the remainder of the 2019-2020 academic year. Zoom exams take place from 9:00am-1:00pm and will utilize a stagger start for multiple test-takers. Tentatively, starting in September, exams will resume their normal schedule on campus and will take place from 8:45pm-12:45pm in the room noted in the sign-up form.

Test takers must have Microsoft Office, including Word, installed on their computers, as well as a stable internet connection (for Zoom exams). Adobe Acrobat is recommended for Zoom exams.

Reminders are sent out one week prior to the exam. Deadline to sign up is one week in advance of the exam, and cancellations must be received at least four days in advance.
