Doctoral students take two comprehensive exams covering foundations and research coursework. Traditional, closed-book comprehensive exams are held once a month, on set Fridays. TakeExams are now solely offered as take-home, open-book exams will be offered once per academic quarter. Direct any questions to Megan Hamshar.Closed-book Comprehensive Exams
Traditional, proctored exams are held once a month, on set Fridays. Exams are currently held online via Zoom and take place from 9:00am-1:00pm. A stagger start will be used for multiple test-takers. 

Test takers must have Microsoft Office, including Word, installed on their computers, as well as a stable internet connection. Adobe Acrobat is also recommended.

Reminders are sent out one week prior to the exam. Deadline to sign up is one week in advance of the exam, and cancellations must be received at least four days in advance. Email Megan Hamshar to cancel.

Closed-book exams will no longer be held after June 2021.
