Screen Brightness Adjustment for Windows

Screen Brightness

The Lenovo M93z all-in-one computers, currently located on the Library's Lower Level, do not have manual controls for adjusting screen brightness. Rather, the screen brightness can be adjusted through the Windows Control Panel. The screen brightness of other library computers can be adjusted manually with buttons located on the keyboard (iMacs and MacBook Pros) or with controls on the screen itself (Dell monitors and Lenovo M90z all-in-one computers located on the Main Level).

Step-by-step guide

  1. Log in to the Windows computer with your SPU credentials
  2. Click on the Start button
  3. In the search box type brightness to quickly find the Control Panel option
  4. Choose the top result, "Adjust screen brightness" to launch Control Panel settings.
    1. Adjust screen brightness
  5. The Power Options window will appear and at the bottom of the window will be a range for screen brightness. Adjust accordingly.
    1. Screen brightness adjusting sliding bar
