Current Year Recipients

Carlos Arias Arevalo, Associate Professor of Computer Science and the Computer Science Program Chair, was named Undergraduate Professor of the Year by the Associated Students of Seattle Pacific.

Jessica Fossum, Assistant Professor of Psychology, was named Graduate Faculty Member of the Year by graduate students.

2026 Staff Members of the Year:

Sue Martin, Science Laboratory Manager and Chemical Hygiene Officer, was named the Oral V. Hemry Non-Exempt Staff Person of the Year by Staff Council.

Chuck Strawn, Interim Vice President for Student Life and the Dean of Students, was named Exempt Staff Person of the Year by Staff Council.

Alissa Walter, associate professor of history, was named Undergraduate Professor of the Year by the Associated Students of Seattle Pacific.

Tamura Turney, instructor of marriage and family therapy, was named Graduate Faculty Member of the Year by graduate students.

Ingrid Steele, senior academic evaluator in the Office of the Registrar, was named the Oral V. Hemry Non-Exempt Staff Person of the Year by Staff Council.

Josh Kanehen, Director of Business Systems in Information Technology, was named Exempt Staff Person of the Year by Staff Council.
