1.4 Modify Personal Information

Access Your Worker Profile Page
Your Worker Profile page displays information about you, including your office location, phone number, and compensation. Sensitive information visibility varies, depending on each individual user’s security profile.
Note: All instructions in this job aid start from the Worker Profile page. To access your Worker Profile page, select your Profile photo, and then select View Profile. |
Add or Change Your Contact Information
Select the Contact tab from the menu on the left. The Contact subtab displays, as shown in the image below.
Select the Edit button and Change My Home Contact Information to change your personal contact information. Within each section, select the Edit icon to change existing information, the Delete icon to remove existing information, or the Undo icon to revert to the last saved version. You can also select Add to add new information. Select within a field to edit.
Select Submit to save your changes.
Add or Change Emergency Contacts
Select the Contact tab, and then select the Emergency Contacts subtab.
Select the Edit button. Enter or modify your emergency contacts. Your primary emergency contact has a priority of 1. For any alternate emergency contacts that you add, enter a priority number of 2 or greater.
Select Submit to save your changes.
Modify Your Personal Information
Select the Personal tab.
Note: You may need to select the More button to display additional menu options. The Personal Information subtab displays. |
Select the Edit button. Enter or modify your personal information.
Select Submit to save your changes.
View Your Identity Paperwork
Select the Personal tab, and then select the IDs subtab. You may not be able to edit this information.
Select the Documents subtab. Select the document links to view or download documents. Select the Add button to attach documents to your profile. Depending on your security permissions, you can select Edit to update documents or Delete to remove documents.
Change Your Legal Name
Select your Actions button.
Select Personal Data > Change My Legal Name.
Enter your new information, including attaching required documentation.
Select Submit.
A window opens confirming the submission. Select the To Do button and then Submit to submit proof of your name change on the Documents subtab. Otherwise, select View Details and then Done to submit later.
Change Your Preferred Name
You can elect to add a preferred name, which will display within Workday instead of your legal name.
Select your Actions button, and then select Personal Data > Change My Preferred Name.
Clear the Use Legal Name As Preferred Name checkbox.
Enter your new information.
Select Submit.
Add or Change Your Photo
Select your Actions button, and then select Personal Data > Change My Photo.
Select the Select files button to locate, upload, and crop your image. Otherwise, drag and drop your image directly into the Attachments section from your local drive. You can crop and adjust the image by dragging the corners to the desired specifications. The portion of the image within the unshaded circle represents how your photo will display on your Worker Profile page.
Select OK to finalize your photo.
Select Submit to save your changes.
Depending on your organization’s configuration, you may need further approval before the change takes effect.
Note: The supported file formats depend on your organization’s configuration. Typical formats include PNG, JPG, and GIF. |
Change Your Veteran Status
Select your Actions button, and then select Personal Data > Change My Veteran Status Identification.
Click in the Veteran Status field to select your veteran status.
Select all applicable fields that apply.
Select Submit.
Change Your Public Profile Preferences
You can decide which personal information displays on public profile cards on your worker profile.
In the Global Search bar, type Change Public Profile Preferences.
Select your preferences for each applicable field.
Select OK.
View Transaction History
You can view your transaction history to review information such as benefit enrollment or dates when personal data changed.
Select the Job tab.
Choose the Worker History subtab. Your business process history displays.
Select the View Worker History by Category button. Workday organizes the data into different tabs to make it easier to review.
Change a Business Title
Discuss Business Title changes with your manager.

The request will route for approval.
Upload My Experience
Select the Summary tab.
In the Upload My Experience section, select the Upload button.
In the Upload File area, select the Select files button to browse for a file. You can also drag your file into the region.
Select OK.
From the Review Professional Profile Upload page, use the Guided Editor or the Summary section to validate and refine your uploaded data.
Select Submit.
