Pedagogical Use of Microsoft Teams Meetings for Online Group Presentations with Asynchronous Peer Feedback via Canvas

If you are teaching online or need your students to give online group presentations, just like they would in an in-person class, but prefer an asynchronous format for delivery and peer feedback, this tutorial offers a practical solution. Students present live in Microsoft Teams, record their session, and then share the video in a Canvas discussion, where classmates can provide reflective, asynchronous feedback.

Purpose

There are multiple ways to facilitate online student group presentations. This example offers a practical solution for:

  1. Practice real-time collaboration and communication by presenting live through Microsoft Teams Meetings

  2. Record and share their presentation asynchronously so other classmates can view it via Canvas
