Overview
Instructions for Students
This guide explains how to post a recorded Teams presentation to a Canvas assignment for grading.
Schedule a Teams meeting
Information
If this is a group presentation, one designated group member should schedule the Microsoft Teams meeting and invite the rest of the group members to join. All group members should attend the meeting at the scheduled time to present together.
Open the Teams app or access Teams through your browser. (The instructions below are based on using Teams in a browser.)
Select Calendar in Teams.
Click New event
.
Toggle on the Teams Meeting button.
Add meeting details and attendees.
Select Save.

After you scheduled Teams meetings and sent them out, you can see all your upcoming meetings in your Teams calendar.
Click Join to join the meeting.
Set your camera and audio settings before clicking the Join now button to enter the meeting.
Click Start recording to record the Teams meeting.
Click Stop recording after the meeting.

Upload a Teams recording to a Canvas assignment
When the meeting is recorded, the video will be automatically saved to the OneDrive of the meeting organizer, specifically in a folder called "Recordings." The organizer (the person who scheduled the meeting) is responsible for retrieving the link and sharing it for submission.
Navigate to the Canvas course.
Select Assignments [1] from the course navigation bar.
Go to the assignment [2] you need to submit the Teams recording.
Click More [3].
Click Microsoft OneDrive. If this is your first time using OneDrive in Canvas, you will need to log in.
*Make sure to use the same account you used to record the Teams meeting.
Click My files and locate the Recordings folder in your OneDrive.
Select the Teams meeting you want to submit for this Canvas assignment. And then click Submit.
Click Submit assignment.
If you are working individually (submitting a solo presentation), you do not need to schedule a meeting for yourself. Instead, you can use the Meet Now feature in the Calendar tab of Microsoft Teams to start a meeting on your own (Steps provided below).
In this scenario, only the first step—starting the meeting—is different. For all other steps: recording the presentation, locating the file in your OneDrive, and submitting it to Canvas, please follow the same instructions provided above.
