Overview

In the Canvas Gradebook, some assignments may appear as zeros for multiple students even though they have not yet been graded. This can occur due to the assignment’s late policy settings being carried over from a previous course, or as a result of how Canvas automatically handles ungraded submissions.

This guide provides a quick solution to resolve and update all zero grades for a specific assignment in bulk.

Open Canvas Gradebook

  • Navigate to your course and click Grades from the course navigation bar.
