Overview
Anonymous grading is currently a course opt-in feature, and you can enable it at the course level and create assignments that use this feature. If anonymous grading is not enabled as a course-level feature option, you can still enable anonymous grading in SpeedGrader on a per-assignment basis at any time.
Notes:
Anonymous grading is not available for graded discussions.

Anonymous assignments automatically default to a manual posting policy. Grades for anonymous assignments, like other manual post-policy assignments, are not displayed to students until assignment grades are posted.
Posting grades for an anonymous assignment will remove anonymity from the assignment.
How to Enable Anonymous Grading from SpeedGrader
If anonymous grading is not enabled as a feature option in your course, you still can enable anonymous grading in SpeedGrader on a per-assignment basis at any time.
Note: Hiding names in SpeedGrader does not affect names in the Gradebook.
However, student IDs still display in the SpeedGrader URL unless you enable anonymous grading using the approach above. Additionally, students can still see their grades. To hide assignment grades, you may need to hide them manually in SpeedGrader.
Open SpeedGrader from any assignment, graded discussion, or quiz.
Click the Settings icon [1]. In the settings drop-down menu, click the Options link [2].
To hide the student names, click the Hide student names in the SpeedGrader checkbox.
Note: If the checkbox to hide student names is not visible in SpeedGrader settings, anonymous grading has been enabled for the assignment.
Click the Save Settings button.
View the student drop-down menu and verify that all student names are hidden. Student names display as generic names such as Student 1, Student 2, etc.
Create Anonymous Comments
You can add annotations and comments in DocViewer when Anonymous Grading is enabled. If you want to use DocViewer tools and create anonymous comments in the submission, you can enable Anonymous Instructor Annotations in your assignment instead.
Enable Anonymous Instructor Annotations
Navigate to the assignment.
In the Assignment settings, click Anonymous instructor annotations checkbox.
If you want to assess submissions with DocViewer in SpeedGrader, you can make all instructor annotations and comments in DocViewer-supported submissions anonymous.
