Phones on campus display the name of the calling person or department.  If a name change is requested, make a ticket for Net/Tel, including the extension number and the desired new namethe display name on the phone needs to be changed follow the steps below or call the HelpDesk at (206) 281-2982

Steps

  1. Log into the CIS HelpdDesk Customer Portal (spu.edu/cishelpdesk)
  2. In the Campus Phone group, select the Phone Configuration Request Type
  3. Fill out the appropriate fields
    1. Be sure to include the phone extension (last four digits) and the name that should be displayed on the phone
  4. A CIS team member will respond when the name has been changed.

The display can fit a maximum of eleven characters. The usual naming convention for people is "LastName, FirstName" (assuming this fitsif it does not exceed eleven characters)
